Isle of Arran, Scotland

The Isle of Arran was my first hike in Scotland. I had arrived on the island in mid-afternoon but with the long day light hours in June, I still managed to squeeze in an 8 hour hike up on the ridges above Glenrosa valley. There were some fascinating rock formations and boulders up on the ridges and great views of the whole island. Such rugged beauty! I only stayed on Arran for a day but would love to go back and explore it further. What a fantastic first day in Scotland!
